THIS YEAR'S DINNER TOOK PLACE ON JUNE 5, 2009, AT VILLA MILANO'S ON SCHROCK ROAD IN COLUMBUS. 350 ALUMNI, SPOUSES AND GUESTS BEGAN THE EVENING WITH A 1 1/2 HOUR "SOCIAL TIME" STARTING AT 5:30 PM, FOLLOWED BY A GREAT DINNER. A SHORT RECOGNITION AND CONGRATULATORY PROGRAM FOLLOWED HONORING 1959 AND 1979 GRADUATES, AND "OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARD WINNER" MISSY GOERS, CLASS OF 1963.

The Worthington High School Alumni 30 Year Club is an organization devoted to honor and celebrate the graduates from Worthington High School thirty years ago and before. This year, 2009, the Class of 1959 was honored and the Class of 1979 was inducted.
To many people's surprise, this organization has been in existence for almost 40 years. The number of people who come varies from year to year. If you can't come this year, consider coming next year. One of the best things to know, is, if your close friends are coming, or can come. I would hate to have you come, expect to see certain people, and no one show. Some come every year, some come every few years. There are graduates that come from as far back as the class of 1938.
One of the most important things that I tell people, especially from 1960-1979, is to pass the word about this event and let people know that this exists (very many do not), and try to make it to the dinner (occasionally).We have a limited budget and can not send out letters to everyone. This year we sent out over 5,000 letters and 3,00 emails. If you move, you need to let us know of your new address. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE DINNER RESERVATION FORM to attend, and send the MONEY TO BE REGISTERED FOR THE DINNER !!! Once you come, you are automatically on the mailing list. So even if you couldn't come this year, think about it in the future , and PASS the word, not just to your class, but anyone you know who graduated from Worthington in and prior to 1980.
