We've always known that Worthington's educational heritage was special, but now it's official. The Worthington Historical Society has just published "Two Centuries of Educational History: Worthington, Ohio" by Jennie McCormick. This 75 page booklet with 48 black and white pictures tells the story of schools in any part of the Worthington School District from 1803 to 2007 and features a timeline of educational highligts. It includes public schools, private academies, parochial schools and institutions of higher education together with the various boundary changes in the Worthington School District. Besides information and photographs of buildings, it contains a listing of superintendents, board of education presidents, and distinguished alumni award winners. It is for sale for $9 from the Worthington Historical Society Gift Shop at 50 W. New England.
